“Suffering and scarcity are never the final destination.” - one of my favorite healers and astrologists Ali Ofstedal said this in her latest podcast (The Soul Archeology) and it felt very true on so many levels, especially at this moment in time. I think we all know on a human, an instinctive level, that suffering and scarcity can’t be the final destination. Especially with the awareness of ourselves as consciousness beings, capable of free will and decision making.
Why would we possibly choose suffering for others or for ourselves? Why would we make choices that lead to people, possibly including ourselves, not having enough food or shelter or warmth or relief from the heat? Why would we make choices that put our environment in danger and threaten the safety and future for our children?
If suffering and scarcity are not the final destination, and I’m assuming those reading this are likely on this side of the equation, what is? Is there a final destination? If there was what would it look like to you? What would it feel like, what would it smell like, taste like? What thoughts would your mind be filled with? Would it be final? Or would it be eternal? Or maybe somewhere in between?
These are important questions to ask ourselves. Because if we don’t ask ourselves these questions, we fall into the wheel of acceptance of our fate. We’ve given up our free will. And you and I know that each and every day we wake up and we have hundreds, if not thousands of choices that we can make throughout the day.
What will they be? Who will we be?
I present these questions now because we’re at a precipice. Every choice has an effect. Every single one. And so without being overly intense, because there are certainly choices we make thoruhgout the day that are insignificant, like are we going to make coffee this morning (uh, yes…I’m eternally grateful to have access to it), or are we going to make tea (equally grateful for). Are we going to say express kindness in our interactions, or are we going to express our frustrations? That is not to say in any way that we should not express our frustrations. I simply am asking, how do we want to spend the day and where do we want to put our energy?
The planets are all aligned to support us in answering these questions.
I will write more about that in a coming post.
That’s all for today.
Peace.
