The planets:
I’m writing this on the 17th of April but wanted to highlight some planetary transits that began on April 16th, will continue through the end of April and into early May, and signify major transformations in the world around us and within ourselves.
To start, Saturn (the planet of structure, responsibility and discipline) is in Pisces (empathy, intuition, creativity) and is conjunct the North Node (represents the path you’re meant to move toward). Saturn conjunct the North Node is very rare and and points us towards what we are finished with. Saturn is also sextiling Uranus (innovation, rebellion) in Taurus (commitments, persistence) supporting movement forward, energizing us and reminding us to make space for what we want to manifest next. Venus is here as well. Bringing in personal self worth, self love, and our value system.
The South Node is in Virgo, opposing Saturn. This opposition indicates a turning point. A challenge. Something outside of your perceived control that is closing out. Saturn is our real world and how we’ve structured our life. Connected to Venus, it’s about what you love and want more in your life. Connected also to Uranus in Taurus, we’re likely to see unexpected breakthroughs and surprises.
April 16 to 17, Mercury and Neptune are at 0 degrees of Aries. 0 degrees is the point of pure creation in the Zodiac wheel. Neptune in Aries is slow moving (18 months to move across a single degree point). This marks the first time Neptune has been in Aries since 1865-1875. Because Neptune travels so slowly, this will be the only time in our lifetimes that this transit will occur. Neptune is associated with dreams, spirituality, and intuition. Mercury is about communication (receiving and giving). Aries energy is hopeful, and enthusiastic. So, we’ll likely be reviewing our intentions, and with Saturn’s and North Node’s energy involved, we’ll be making decisions about what we want to let go of and what we want to create.
On April 23rd, the sun in Taurus will square Pluto (transformation, power, change), so we’re likely to see power struggles and issues around control. And with all of this transformational energy pushing us forward, we’re coming into new understandings of who we truly are, and what our authentic self needs and wants.
2025 is meant to be intense. This time period is a phase of evolution that is transitioning us into new forms of ourselves. There can be tension and uncertainty through the rest of the year and into 2026, and while we all have free will and can make our own decisions, the universe is always pushing us forward, forcing us, whether we like it or not, to evolve into greater consciousness.
Goddess energy:
This time period will require courage to stay present with what our intuition is telling us and what we truly need. If you like to look at archetypal figures for guidance, Athena, the goddess of wisdom, war and peace, may be a good source of support. Maybe read about her, look at images of her, finding some strength and courage in her presence and stay open to what messages you receive that resonate with your heart.
Plant Support:
These big energies will be working overtime on our nervous systems, so you may want to explore herbs, spices and plants that help support your immune system. Plants like Calendula and Red Clover are known for improving the lymphatic system, draining sinuses and reducing swollen glands. Stinging Nettle, which I wrote about in my last post, is also good for relieving allergies. You can make teas or tinctures with any of these. In addition, shitake mushrooms and turmeric help build immunity, reduce inflamation, and provide anti-viral protections. I put turmeric on my eggs every morning along with ginger and cardamom, all of which are anti-inflammatories.
Sending you peace and deep breaths over the next few weeks.
Take good care.
